R. POSTE EGIZIANE ALESSANDRETTA" cds (Smith scarcity factor = 175) with information strike alongside. Reverse with crisp “V. R. POSTE EGIZIANE BAIROUT” arrival cds (Nov 10). Minor toning on the cover, some on the perforation, nevertheless a rare and fine Shipmail cover, only four such recorded. Signed Sorani. Reverse on arrival struck with all-Arab intaglio 'Posta Masria Bairout' seal handstamp in black of the Egyptian post office. Scotch remnants, letter sheet splitted along the edges, fixed by hinges, despite these faults an item of extreme importance. Cert. B.P.A. (2002).
