1931: Graf Zeppelin, the overprinted set of two values with the 50 m. showing the variety 1951 for 1931, used on 9 April 1931 cover to Torino, Italy tied by bilingual "SUEZ / GRAF ZEPPELIN cds with information strike at right (April 9) in black. Reverse with "Cairo Arrival" cds (April 10) in black, "Friedrichshafen ( (Bodensee)" cds (April 13) and Turin arrival of the following day. Without the Pyramid cachet ' the envelope being taken aboard the Zeppelin upon the return from the Palestine Round trip (see Blau and Deighton page 40). To date believed to be the unique item known with Suez special cachet and franked with both values of the Zeppelin set plus the overprint variety. Extremely rare, very few covers were flown from Suez  Sieger 105Dxa/Dz. Provenance: Corinphila sale 205, June 2016, lot 888.
