British Protectorate 1815-1864 1859: (½ d.) orange, a horizontal pair with good to large margins all round (pos. 41-42) and portion of adjoining stamp at base, overlapping (2 d.) carmine with good to large margins all round on May 1860 entire letter from Cefalonia to Corfu all cancelled by large pen cross in black ink. Hooded "CEFALONIA" despatch datestamp (May 9) in blue and small "CORFU" cds in blue alongside of arrival (May 10) also in blue. File fold affects the 2 d. adhesive but a rare and famous entire.
