British Protectorate 1814-1864 1833 (July 31/Aug 12): Entire letter from Argostolian, Cefalonia to Corfu with hooded "CEFALONIA" datestamp of despatch (Aug 12g) in black well struck on reverse, rated "4" (pence) to pay in manuscript and, on obverse, a very fine strike of circular "OFFICIO DELLA POSTA DI CEFALONIA" with the mythological hunter Cephalus and his dog as vignette in black. Reverse with hooded "CORFU" arrival (Aug 16) in black. Opens well for Exhibit display, a rare entire.
