China, 1899 (22 Jan.) envelope to Paris via Haiphong (25.1), showing extremely fine strike of "Lungchow" dollar dater in brown on reverse, and bearing on front French Indochina 25c., cancelled by "Langson/Tonkin" c.d.s. in blue, the cover has central vertical filing fold and has been roughly opened at foot on front, very fine and distinctive usage of this rare dollar dater indicating prepayment of postage.
