Crown CC, Thin Bar surcharge, perf. 12½ (A), a single used example in combination with 1871 6 d. dull blue, tied to 1874 cover to Nantes, France carried on the "European", tied by segmented square cork cancels in black. "ST. HELENA" despatch cds (July 11) in black with manuscript "3" pence credit alongside. "London / Paid" transit in red (Aug 1) and oval framed "PD" applied in red. A fresh and fine entire, the 6 d. being rarely encountered on cover.
