Milit. Censor; b/s 21 V 1940 MARSEILLE GARE (trainstation) dispatch - unclear if sent by air bec. of War & dispatch locale. Sender was at "camp des Prestataires": per law 13 Jan. 1940 foreigners & stateless people receiving asylum to be used as foreign workers at service of French Army. Msg written 18th: Antwerp & Brussels conquered, Allied forces in retreat to coastline. Seat of future Vichy Govt. located in Allier dept. Rare origin & time.
