Greek Post Office in Smirna 1862: Entire letter from Smirna to Athens with "SMYRNA / (TOYPKIA)" despatch cds in black (Oct 5) and taxed on arrival with 1862/67 Large Hermes 40 l. mauve on blued paper, two examples, touched to good margins tied by dotted numeral "1" with Piraeus and Athens cds's (Oct 8) on reverse. A fine and scarce entire paying the 60 lepta double Maritime rate and 20 lepta inland charge.
