David Ohannessian (1884-1952), Armenian ceramics artist, born in Turkey, is considered the father of Armenian ceramics in Jerusalem. During the genocide of the Armenians during World War I, immigrated with his family to Syria.
Among others he designed the fountain house in the Israel Museum, and renovated the ceramics of the Dome of the Rock.

Mary Balian (born in 1927), Armenian painter and ceramic artist operates with her husband Stark in Jerusalem. Among her public art she created the board of tiles at the American Colony, slabs at the presidential palace, tile work in the Smithsonian Museum and more.
Gita Shruber (1917-2004), one of the great philanthropists of Culture and Art in Israel, was an important art collector.
