1852 (August 16): Registered cover to Rotterdam franked with 1847-54 embossed 1 s. green vertical pair, lower stamp touched at right, both showing portion of adjoining stamp at left, and 10 d. brown, touched at top and right, paying the rate of 2/4d. plus 6 d. registration, all cancelled with "466" numeral, corresponding Liverpool despatch backstamp, with red "PD" oval and "PAID" datestamp on front, endorsed "via Ostend", red Rotterdam arrival backstamp, file fold crossing pair between stamps, some overall wrinkling and aging, but a scarce registered foreign destination cover.
