1871: 1 c. bistre, a used vertical strip of five on 1872 cover to Guatemala City, mailed during the newly reduced 5 c. (1 real) rate (26 January 1872), all tied by three strikes of the "10" numeral obliterator with bold "CORREOS / CHIQUIMULA" circular datestamp below (Feb 19) in black. The cover cleaned but of great rarity with just this cover recorded and illustrated in Roland A. Goodman's "Guatemala" handbook on page 48.

1871: 5 c. brown, a used example on 1872 cover to Mazatenango tied by bold "1" numeral obliterator in black with "CORREOS / GUATEMALA" circular datestamp (Nov 16) in blue at left. The cover with some reduced aging at left leaving bleach stain but of great scarcity. Just five covers with single 5 c. frankings are recorded in Roland A. Goodman's "Guatemala" handbook. 1871: First Issue 20 c. rose, five used examples on three pieces: with single on 1874 piece tied "Guatemala" cds in black with "PAQUETES" cds in red adjacent and three line "PANAMA / TRANSIT" in black; three 20 c. rose on small piece tied by "1" numeral obliterators in black; and single 20 c. on 1872 piece with "19" numeral of Chiquimula (Sept 27) and octagonal ASPINWALL datestamp in black (Nov 1). A scarce group with this stamp being extremely rare on cover.
