Salomoninseln sammlungen - Corinphila Auction AG Auction 333-341 Western Australia & Great Britain - Day 31907/1949: Collection on leaves comprising from the 1907 first issue 'Canoes' complete unused set of seven with all six types noted (three for the ½ d. blue, 2½ d. orange) most of fresh and fine appearance, a few with some age spots as usual on gum, part to large part og.: all the types have been marked on reverse in pencil by Peter Holcombe (36 stamps Gi 1-7 = £ 1'600+). 1908/11 De La Rue definitive issue set of eleven values in used blocks of four (excluding the 2½ d. value which is unused), of fine appearance and scarce in multiples (Gi 8-17 = £ 900) and a specimen set of the same values. 6 complete Specimen sets incl. 1922/31 Chalk-surfaced paper complete set of fifteen values with overprint 'SPECIMEN' in black (Gi 39-52s = £ 450).
