1867 (November 5): Cover from Halifax to Rotterdam franked with 8½ c. deep green vertical pair tied by Halifax duplex, endorsed "RRMS China" and struck with red London PAID transit on front (16 Nov), reverse with receiver (18 Nov), red "5" manuscript accountancy notation, the odd trivial tone spot mentioned for strict accuracy, a lovely and fresh cover and rare franking.

1851/60: 1 d. red-brown on blued paper, a used example with clear to large margins all round, used on 1857 local drop letter in Halifax, tied by barred oval obliterator in black. Reverse with Halifax oval datestamp (Feb 25) in black. A scarce local usage.

1851/60: 3 d. deep blue on blued paper, a used example with good margins all round and showing portions of two adjoining stamps but with two creases in margins where overlapping the edge of the 1856 entire letter to Pictou, tied by oval barred obliterator in black. Reverse with PLAISTER COVE" despatch cds (Sept 3) and PICTOU arrival (Sept 6). Some creasing away from adhesive but an unusual entire with interesting content.

Reverse with "SHERBROOK ST. MARY'S / NS" despatch cds (Dec 22) with ANTIGONISH transit cds (Dec 24) and TRURO arrival (Dec 26) all in black.

Reverse with "BRIDGETOWN / N.S." despatch cds in black (Aug 3) and faint transit. Circular "PAID / 10" on obverse in red. Some imperfections incl. opening tear at top but a fine stamp.
