"Beschädigt durch Brandungunlück im Postamt Shanghai", purple L2 on gold-coloured decorative envelope as field post cover with faint despatch datestamp "K.D.FELD.POSTSTATION No.2" to Asperg with arrival postmark of 9.4.01. The envelope has only slightly traces of fire and is certainly one of the most attractive covers still in condition from this accident, photo attestation Bothe BPP (1986).
