Hong Kong, 1872, "Ladies Envelope" usage from Hong Kong to Florence, Italy, franked on front by two 8¢ Hong Kong Queen Victoria issues, each tied by magnificent strikes of Webb Type C1 "B62" killers; front shows red "8" rate marking and "PD" handstamp in red, indicating British packet via Brindisi 16¢ paid; interesting to note that there is no Hong Kong c.d.s. included; Italian 1 Mar 72 arrival on reverse, fresh, Very Fine.

Hong Kong, 1863 (Feb. 11), Hong Kong to Toulon, France, cover, attractive small envelope, franked by 4¢ and 12¢ Victorias, tied by dual strikes of bluish black "B62" killers (Webb Type A3); front shows boxed black "P.D." handstamp, along with red French Suez packet chop dated 21 Mars to Marseille, then by train to Toulon, Fine to Very Fine, neat little cover.

Hong Kong, 1866 (March?), spectacular mourning cover usage, Hong Kong to Bathgate, Scotland, neat, clean mourning cover sent "via Marseilles", franked by 6¢, 8¢, 12¢ and 24¢ values from the 1863-80 series, all cancelled by bold "B62" strikes--representing 32¢ per ½ ounce via Marseilles, plus 18¢ Late Fee; reverse shows faint Hong Kong c.d.s., Index C, with date illegible except for "66", with Bathgate May 16 receiver, lovely 4-color franking, Very Fine.

Hong Kong, 1875 (July 9), cover from Foochow to Melbourne, Australia, "Per Touresset SS" in manuscript, franked by 24¢ Victoria issue cancelled by a choice quality strike of barred oval Melbourne arrival marker, unlisted in Webb but noted in Scamp & Fine, though no number given; reverse shows neat blue "Foochowfoo/9/JY/75" c.d.s. and Melbourne AU 24 75 arrival, fresh, Very Fine, a very scarce and desirable cover.

Interestingly, the cover passed through the Treaty Port Post Office at Foochow and went onto a ship that sailed directly to Australia, bypassing Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 1868 (?), 2¢ deep brown Queen Victoria wrapper usage, Hong Kong to Bombay, sent "per Rangoon", 2¢ Victoria adhesive cancelled by bold "B62" in black along with red Bombay receiver which ties stamp to wrapper (which itself is in superb condition), fresh, Very Fine, wrappers from the 1860s are rare by any measure.

(Webb Type A) via Hong Kong, with Victoria 4 AP transit to London, which shows MY 6 arrival, Very Fine, lovely and scarce combination, Webb Type A is very scarce on Victoria issues; Pearson rarity: 100 (fewer than 50 known).
