Mauritius used in Seychelles 1887: Mauritius 1879/80 8 c. blue in a horizontal pair, used on 1887 cover to London tied by fair strikes of the "B64" obliterator in black with "Seychelles" code C datestamp at left (May 10) of despatch in black. London arrival cds (May 26) on reverse. The envelope a trifle reduced at top of no significance, a fine and most attractive cover.

Mauritius used in Seychelles 1887: Mauritius 1883/90 16 c. chestnut in a horizontal pair, used on 1887 cover to Sir Henry Barkly in London tied by good strikes of the "B64" obliterator in black with "Seychelles" code C datestamp at left (June 8) of despatch in black. Reverse with "Government House, Seychelles" engraveed Coat of Arms in blue and London arrival cds (June 27) in black with docketing of receipt on obverse. A fine and most attractive cover.

1903 (May 26): Top value 2 r. 25 c. purple & green, used on registered cover to Calcutta (envelope affixed to a parcel) with 3 c. green and 15 c. ultramarine all tied by "Seychelles" code A datestamps (11 Feb 1904) in black. Carried on the "Peninsular" from Aden with Bombay - Aden "SEA P.O. 8 SET" datestamp in violet at left (Feb 21) above registration "R" in black. Mauritius used in Seychelles 1872: Mauritius 1863/72 4 d. rose and 6 d. yellow-green in a horizontal pair, used on double rate cover to Paris, all tied by three strikes of the "B64" obliterator in black with "P.D." at left. Carried by "Ermine" French Paquebot to Aden with octagonal "POS. AN. SUEZ / P.F. AMB. MARS" on obverse (Aug 20). Reverse with unclear "Seychelles" despatch cds and Paris arrival cds (Aug 21). A few trivial stains but very rare and most attractive. A famous cover.

1860/1952: Collection of almost exclusively unused examples presented within a red album, the limited range of used material is mostly focused on the "B64" numeral obliterator on stamps of Mauritius (Gi Z5/32). Blocks of four, some of which are from the 1937 Coronation issue set with the addition of plate varieties, incl. 20 c. brown & deep blue showing variety "Short Extra Flagstaff" (Gi 130b) among others. There are a number of complete sets from the first issue, though sets are more frequent through George V & VI. Specimen sets are also to be found such as 1903 Edward VII set of eleven values overprinted in black 'SPECIMEN' (Gi 46s-56). Several varieties, in particular the 1912 George V "Split 'A' of POSTAGE" on the 2 c. through to the 75 c. in unused condition (Gi 72a-79a). 1923 George V 20 c. stationery envelope (H&G C3a) uprated with 1921 2 c. and 20 c. sent to Canada (ex collection Jeffrey Weiss). Generally fine and very useful assembly Gi = £ 7'750+.
