1930/35: Lot three Chile acceptances to Lufthansa flights to Germany, including 1930 (Sept. 17) envelope with high franking of in total $17.10 from "LOS ANDES CHILE 11. SET.30" to Mulhouse, France as well as two registered usages of 1935 Zeppelin Shuttle-flights Recife-Bathurst (Brit. Gambia) and forwarded by DHL Lufthansa to Stuttgart with one of first Shuttle-flight (Nov. 15th) to London and the second of 3rd Shuttle-flight (Nov. 29th) to Böblingen, Germany.

1881: Pacific War covers, Pacific Steam Navigation Company printed backflap envelope sent to Valparaiso, endorsed "Urgente" with fine oval "FRANCA / 10 Cts / CALLAO" paid mark to Valparaiso treated as unpaid with oval "VALPARAISO / 10c / MULTADA" applied alongside on arrival, to reverse, "VALPARAISO CHILE" datestamp 22 November 1881, a rare cover, comes with an 1881 envelope sent to Santiago with circular "INSPECCION DE LOS PUERTOS DEL LITORAL / DEL PERU" cachet in violet with coat of arms in centre, a further strike to the backflap, alongside a horseshoe "SANTIAGO" datestamp 12 October 1881 (5.pm), part of base at back missing and small tear to front on right side, otherwise fine and a rare pair. 1867: Group of three covers with perforation 12 issues, comprising an example franked with five single 10 c. blue sent from Valparaiso to Copiapo, endorsed "per vapor", also a scarce combination of a 10 c. blue and 20 c. green on cover to Carrizal-Bajo, endorsed "per vapor Guayaquil", tied by mute crossroads cancel and a wrapper franked with horizontal pair of 20 c. green sent from Valparaiso 28 April 1868 to Buenos Aires, tied by a "CANCELLED" barred oval, with "ADMON DE CORREOS / MENDOZA" undated double circle to reverse, some soiling and minor faults, a scarce and useful trio. 1857/65: Santiago P.O. printings, 5 c. dull reddish / yellowish brown 'canela' shades, the collection on beautifully written up leaves with used single examples (16), pairs (3) and strips of three (2, one is on cover), all in the scarcest shade of the issue and in superb quality with the 1860 entire letter used from Valparaiso to Coquimbo bearing strip of three with just shaved margin at top cancelled in black. A splendid group and extremely hard to replicate nowadays Gi 18 = £ 700+/Scott = $ 700+.

1853/1867: Selection of eight stampless covers, four with "STEAMSHIP" markings, once sent 1865 with complete original fascinating contents from Santiago to Oakland (USA) with oval "STEAM / PANAMA" handstamp in black and fine "San Francisco" arrival cds, three further covers sent from Valparaiso to New York, carried via Panama and a cover into New York with "6" in circle, also three covers endorsed via Panama, one which has framed "Via Panama = Inglaterra" in green, two with forwarding agent markings and one which from Manchester to Valparaiso, condition mixed, although to be expected for transatlantic mail, scarce. 1853/62: Group of three covers, comprising 1853 5 c. brown red, London printing, blued paper, vibrant shade, crisp impression, used on cover, from Valparaiso to Santiago, dated 10 July 1854, tied by target handstamp in black, affixed to left of cover with despatch datestamp in red alongside, just shaved along part of top otherwise good to large margins all round, horizontal filing centrally well clear of adhesive, very attractive example; also a 1854 5 c. red-brown, white paper, used on cover from Santiago to Valparasio, dated 3 October 1854, tied by target cancel in black, shaved slightly across top otherwise large margins, scissor cut in base at right into design, filing fold not affecting stamp and 1856 10 c. blue, vertical pair with right side marginal, four large to huge margins all round, although has fault along top at right, tied by black cancel, stain, heavy horizontal crease not affecting adhesives, scarce pair with large margins. 1882/1905: Selection of six Postal Stationery cards, comprising five used and one unused, including an 1896 3 d. red sent to Zanzibar and a 1905 3 d. to Bangkok, also an 1899 official stationery card with steamship vignette at upper left printed by Spicer on blue stock (H&G D15) used with oval "SERVICIO / FRANCO" and "ADMINISTRACION PRINCIPAL DE CORREOS / VALPARAISO", is slightly toned although scarce, two 5 c. envelopes one sent to Hamburg uprated with routletted issues to 5 c., additionally comes with an unused 1882 1 c. stationery card printed in error of colour in carmine (H&G 6a), rare, a valuable group. 1884/1920: Postage Due, group of examples comprising Scott J1 and J7 in unused blocks of four, J2 in used block of four, J5 in unused pair, J3a single used, J3a and J2 used on piece, unused 10 c. tête-bêche and a 2 c and 6 c. on one stamp used; together with Juan Fernandez 4 c. to 20 c. in used vertical pairs; as well as 1920 Caupolican unadopted postage due so called essay sheet of twenty-five (5 x 5) in green with red value 10 c. to 1 p.; additionally a Scott O7 unused with black ommitted (thin), a scarce accumulation of material. 1867: ABN 10 c. blue, a single example used on 1875 cover to New Bedford, Mass., USA cancelled in black with "Valparaiso / Chile" despatch cds in red (July 3) alongside. Circular "PANAMA / TRANSIT" cds (July 20) in black and struck there with large "12" due marking in black on the adhesive. Reverse with British P.O. "Callao" cds (July 14) and obverse with "NEW YORK / DUE 19 CENTS" charge marking (Aug 10) in black. A fine and unusual cover.
