Commemoratives 1957: Christmas Issue, 3½ d. red and 4 d. purple, Imperforate Die Proofs in issued colours in sunken frame (125 x 86 mm.), the reverse handstamped "C.B.A. / NOTE PRINTING / BRANCH" in violet, 3½ d. numbered '11' and dated '20.8.57' in manuscript and the 4 d. numbered '18' with same date, presented to Sir G. Chippendall, Director General of the Postmaster General's Dept. Rare and fine, just 8 Proofs were struck BW 338DP(1) + 339DP(1) = $ 5'000.

Airmail 1951: First Flight cover addressed to New York carried on Qantas Return Flight from Cocos to Australia, franked by 1948 2 s. brown tied by GPO Sydney datestamp upon arrival. Large handstamp "COCOS / SYDNEY" at left and registration label " Cocos / 0023" although E.R Leigh-Parkin only prepared 20 covers for this Flight. Reverse with range of datestamps "C&W LTD / COCOS" (June 11), Sydney cds's (June 20) and San Francisco transit cds (June 22) and grey label "Per Qantas / Catalina / VH-EBA". Very rare.

King Edward VIII 1936: King Edward VIII, photographic Essays (7) for proposed 2 d. value, stamp size in black and white, affixed to thick card (161 x 102 mm.), all utilising the three-quarter profile head from the unissued 2 d. scarlet, three of the designs being similar to this famous stamp, the other four with considerably more elaborate frames. Reverse marked "8A to 14A" and each Essay initialled and dated "7/5/36" in ink. Mentioned in Brusden White on page 6/23. Edward VIII abdicated on December 11, 1936. 1932: Kookaburra 6 d. red-brown used on 1937 registered cover to Melbourne tied by "Birchip / Vic" cds (April 7) with attached "URGENT LETTERS / FOR IMMEDIATE DELIVERY / BY / TELEGRAPH MESSENGER" green label on obverse. Melbourne arrival of the following day on reverse of a fine and unusual cover.
