Definitives 1949/94: Coat of Arms £ 2 green, deep shade, wmk. C of A upright, overprinted "SPECIMEN" in black (3 mm. high), fresh and very fine, unmounted og. Discovered only in 1973, an explanation for its existence in comparison to the more commonly found 2½ mm. high overprint, can be found in Brusden White on page 6/172. There are estimated to be just 15 examples of this stamp extant. Cert RPS of Victoria (2000) BW 271xd = $ 12'500.

Centenary of Victoria 1934: Competition Essay for the Centenary of Victoria issue, unadopted despite it being the prize-winning design, hand-painted in black on thick card (189 x 142 mm.) with Sailing Ship and view of Melbourne, "AUSTRALIA" and "2 d. POSTAGE 2 d." picked out in Chinese white. Endorsed on reverse with the artist's nom-de-plume of entry "Endeavour", and fully signed by the artist "James Berry" at lower right.
