1840 (Sep 7) Entire letter from Poole to London bearing 1d black QJ-QK pair, QL and RF, all plate 6, all stamps with four margins, tied by red Maltese Crosses, trace of a light vertical fold through QJ, the letter with a heavy central vertical fold with some splitting, previously repaired with tape leaving a couple of stains, now strengthened internally. 1840 (Oct 7) Printed Manchester & Leeds Railway Directors and Engineers reports from the half yearly meeting, and accounts from the railways formation in 1835 until June 1840, folded up and posted from Manchester to Rochdale franked by a 1d black OL plate 2 with huge margins tied by a red Maltese Cross.
