Falmouth/Plymouth. 1810 Part letter from an Officer in the Peninsula, with interesting content regarding a British defeat by French soldiers disguised as peasants, carried by Packet to Plymouth with a superb "CADIZ / 13 NO 13 / 1810 / F" datestamp in green. Ex2) then applied on the front at London, backstamped at London, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Exempt from the ship letter charge, but charged 3d, the unpaid inland rate of 2d + 1d Masters gratuity.
