Wreck Mail - S.S Kalyan. 1921 (Apr 10) Registered cover from Jaffa to England, the stamps washed off and two Palestine stamps reapplied, six "DAMAGED BY SEA / WATER" cachets applied to both sides, with May 4th arrival backstamp. Mail was damaged on the S.S "Kalyan" during a gale in the Mediterranean. Very unusual from Palestine. Photo on Page 29.

Wreck Mail. 1946 (June 7) Cover with enclosed letter from Neuchatel, Switzerland to Tel-Aviv, stained and the stamp washed off, handstamped "DAMAGED". The only recorded cover from this unknown incident, which presumably happened on the sea voyage from Europe to Palestine. Photo on Page 29.
