Hong Kong, 1903 (Mar. 24), picture post card usage from Chefoo to London, lovely card depicting view of the Chefoo Strand, franked by 4¢ Queen Victoria, tied by "Chefoo/C/24 MR/British P.O." c.d.s. (Webb Type A) via Hong Kong, with Victoria 4 AP transit to London, which shows MY 6 arrival, Very Fine, lovely and scarce combination, Webb Type A is very scarce on Victoria issues; Pearson rarity: 100 (fewer than 50 known).

Hong Kong, 1891 (Jan. 22), 7¢ on 10¢ surcharge issue on red band cover from Hong Kong to Batavia, an interesting and highly unusual cover, franked on reverse by 7¢ on 10¢ Hong Kong surcharge, tied by "B62" killer with matching "Hong Kong/A/JA 22/91" c.d.s.; reverse also shows large red "BATAVIA" handstamp; front of cover shows "N-I Agent Singapore 27/1/1891" handstamp with Batavia Jan 30, 1891 receiver, Fine to Very Fine, rare and choice.

The 7¢ rate was to Hong Kong only, but during January to March 1891, the Hong Kong G.P.O. mistakenly accepted the rate also to U.P.U. countries - in this case, to the colony of a U.P.U. country. Only a handful are known to exist.

(Webb Type C), along with red "Hesse & Co./Hong Kong & Canton" company chop, while reverse shows red San Francisco transit, dated Nov 16; cover docket at front in New York, "Rec Nov 26", fresh, Very Fine.

Hong Kong, 1900 (datelined Hong Kong, 8.II.99!), message half of 4¢ on 3¢ paid reply card, used from Hong Kong to Germany (Yang P12), with sender still using "1899" by error in February; front shows perfect strike of "Singapore/FE 13/1900" arrival marking, as the card entered the mails at Singapore 5 days later, Very Fine, a beauty, wonderful, scarce usage.
