China, 1898 (24 May) envelope to Chefoo (26.5) bearing I.C.P. 1c., cancelled by "Newchwang" dollar dater in brown, with "Chefoo" arrival dollar dater in blue on reverse, envelope has light vertical filing fold, fine example of the 1 cent printed matter rate; also two pieces with similar dollar dater, one an intercalary month and the other bearing I.C.P. 10c.

There is a discrepancy of one day between the Western and lunar dates presumably because the staff of both post offices probably forgot that April has thirty instead of thirty-one days, therefore one assumes that the letter was actually posted on 23 May to arrive on 25 May.
