France/India Combination: 1854, Napoleon III imperforate, 80c lake on yellowish, margins 3 sides, tied by "1896" in lozenge on small envelope bearing MARSEILLE 6 JAN 60 c.d.s., manuscript "Overland Mail via Malta & Alexandria", on reverse Forwarding Agent handstamp, two CALCUTTA postmarks, one receiver FE12, thence letter readdressed and forwarded to JESSORE with India 1855 ½a blue (11) tied by "B1" in octagon, probable Jessore c.d.s. on reverse. Scarce usage.
