With hand-written postage of 40Pg., Nazi and Allied censor labels, and arrival mark of Córdoba 9/FE/1944, very fine quality, rare!

MAIL OF SAILORS OF THE CRUISER ADMIRAL GRAF SPEE at first "interned" and then "prisoners" of war in several camps in Argentina: Cover sent from Frankenstein to Buenos Aires on 31/OC/1944 with POSTAL FRANCHISE, sent by Mrs Emma Pilz to her son Erick, who at the time had a permit to live in a house in Villa Ballester (outside the internment camp). With Nazi and Allied censor mark, and arrival mark for 18/AP/1945 (5 ½ months later!!), minor defects, very fine appearance, very rare!

MAIL OF SAILORS OF THE CRUISER ADMIRAL GRAF SPEE at first "interned" and then "prisoners" of war in several camps in Argentina: Airmail cover sent by Mrs. Emma Pilz in Frankenstein to her son Erich Pilz in Buenos Aires on 4/MAR/1940, addressed to the German Embassy so they could forward it to the sailor. Franked with 1.75M. (one stamp with defects), on back Nazi censor label, very interesting!

Authorization dated 16/JA/1941 to sailor (corporal) J. Klinkmüller to leave the camp on Martín García island to Buenos Aires, carrying a suitcase with clothes and personal effects. He was granted these permits to visit his girlfried (later his wife), many of the sailors interned in camps in Argentina met people from the German community, who visited and helped them, and a good number of the sailors married Argentine women, and after being repatriated, they returned to Argentina and settled here!

The cover was addressed to the German Consulate in that city, which then forwarded the mail to the sailors. With POSTAL FRANCHISE, censor marks, and arrival datestamp (light, on back), excellent quality, very rare!
