1907: First Sri Pasupati Issue, the Postal History collection, the outstanding group with postcard at 2 p. inland rate, cover with 2 p. brown single franking, 4 p. green single frankings for inland single rate (8) from Acham Ridikot, Doti, Ridi, Siraha, Taulihawa and fine covers with Birganj negative seal; cover at 6 p. rate franked 2 p. and 4 p., cotton covers (3) franked by single 8 p. scarlet ex Sindhuli and one with Kalaiya negative seal, inland registered covers franked at 24 pice (5), double rate registered covers at 28 pice rate (6), cover at 32 p. rate franked by 8 p. crimson each tied by Kalaiya negative seals etc. A generally very fine selection with much cancellation interest (30 items).

1886/89: 1 a. blue, 2 a. violet and 4 a. green, medium native paper of good quality, fine impressions, used on 1893 philatelic cover each cancelled by bold strikes of the heptagonal "Ne" handstamp of Kathmandu II in black (Hepper page 7, fig. 2). Kathmandu cds below (Nov 22).

1856/1927c.: Collection with 1856 and 1859 early Official cover and entire to Kathmandu, range of stampless covers and some 1 a. blue covers from Bhojpur, Birghanj, Dailekh, Gahawa, Gorkha, Illam, Kadarban, Kathmandu, Pyuthan, Taulikawa; good range of classic period stamps with 1881 European paper set of three imperforate, 1886 1 a. blue and 4 a. green unused, some telegrapically used multiples, ½ a. black incl. tête-bêche pairs, 1907 4 p. green in an imperf. strip of four etc. Viewing highly recommended (Stamps 200+ items / Covers 41).

1879/81: Postal reorganisation covers (2) with 1879 usage from Kathmandu to Dailekh with manuscript "Mahasul Chukti 1 anna" (postage fee paid) and struck with "Nepal" cds (July 3) and arrival of Dailekh in black - the earliest recorded usage; and 1881 entire letter with manuscript "Mahasul Chukti 11" (2 pice = ½ anna) mailed from Jaleswar to Kathmandu, just two months before the earliest stamped cover. Rare and most appealing pair.

1886/1907: 2 a. violet-blue to bright violet to cinnamon, the group showing 'Large Dent in left frameline' flaw, originally position 8, later a treansferred cliché appearing in positions 38, 45, 48, 7 and 56; single unused and used examples (2), vertical pairs (5), with unused corner pair with stamp in original position, three further unused vertical pairs showing tête-bêche variety in radically different shades and a used pair in grey-blue. Indian Post Office 1873: India ½ a. blue used on reverse of 1884 cover from Kathmandu to Motahari tied by fine strike of "D" in bars obliterator in black. "NEPAL" despatch cds at left (April 19) and "Motaharee" arrival alongside (April 21). Scarce and attractive usage.

1927/37: Album page with covers (2), each with beautiful crested embossed crests in colour on reverse, 1927 cover from Maharaja Chandra Shamser to Bombay franked by India 2 a. used to Bombay, and 1937 cover from Prime Minister Juddha Shamser to London franked below the crest with India ½ a. green, strip of three 1 a. chocloate and single 4 a. olive all tied by NEPAL cds's at the Residency PO ((March 23). Delightful and scarce.

1930: 2nd Sri Pasupati 5 r. black & red-brown, the extraordinary document bearing no less than 570 examples (30 x 19) all or nearly handstamped in black and most security punched against re-use, all on huge flimsy rice paper official document - some with faults but most intact - an amazing piece totalling a rate of 2'850 rupees and, one must presume, entirely unique - the Nepali equivalent of 570 Great Britain 1929 PUC £ 1 black stamps on a document Gi = £ 15'390.

India PO, Residency PO and British Legation in Nepal 1862/1965c.: The collection of covers/cards (48 items) all with India frankings incl. combination usages with Nepal, with 1862 and 1866 incoming covers from India with "NEPAUL P.O." datestamps of receipt in black, 1909 cover with ½ a. green used to Gyantse, Tibet with fair FPO / 81 cds in black, 1885 India ½ a. blue stationery envelope cancelled "D" in bars with "NEPAL" cds well struck on reverse (cert. Hellrigl), 1896 reg'd cover to Rangoon from Nepal at 4 a. rate, 1899 cover with 32 p. carmine pair tied Nepal squared circles, 1902 three colour registered franking to Transvaal; 1908 India ½ a. green on local cover tied NEPAL cds and a similar usage on ½ a. stationery envelope, 1921 reg'd cover to Austria with India ten ½ a. green, 1922 cover with ½ a. green underpaid and taxed, 1936 registered cover to General Shamsher Jang Bahadur franked 3 x 3 p. grey, 1936 cover to Transvaal franked 2 a. 6 p. orange, 1936 cover with India 1½ a. red and Airmail 6 as. bistre to UK, 1945 registered 1½ a. blue reg'd envelope with ½ a. (4) and 12 a. (2) ex British Legation PO, 1951 reg's and Insured cover ex the Indian Embassy, 1953 Registered Diplomatic Bag item with mixed Postage & Official franking to New Delhi, 1954 "California Himalayan Expedition" red label on cover handstamped "Barun Glacier Base Camp", 1959 registered cover at 90 np. rate to Tibet etc. Condition varies but many very fine, an extraordinarily difficult lot to replicate and the basis of an outstanding future collection.
