Bremen 1859/63: 5 Sgr. gelbgrün, allseits breit- bis meist überrandiges Prachtstück mit breitem Bogenrand oben, klar und übergehend entw. mit Rahmenstp. "BREMEN 18.6. 5-7" auf Faltbrief nach London, mit nebenges. schwarzem FRANCO, Weiterfrankostp. "2½ / Sgr." und Ankunftsstp. "LONDON D1 JU 20 60 PAID", beide in Rot. Ein wunderschönes Briefgesicht, kaum schöner zu finden, signiert Bloch; Attest Friedl Expert Committee (1960).rnBemerkung: Das Bremen-Archiv von Till Neumann & Armin Steyrer listet 29 Briefe mit dieser Frankatur nach Grossbritannien auf, dabei fünf aus der Engelhardt - Korrespondenz. 1867, 10 Grote black, special fresh colours and perforated typical of the issue, with clear and straight boxed cancel "BREMEN 18 5" on envelope from the well-known Schmidt correspondence to New York, with adjacent red "PAID.10". The stamp with small inconspicuous margin faults left above, otherwise a special fresh and attractive single franking of this well stamp. Signed Friedl and certificate Neumann BPP (2023)

1867, 5 Grote on matt grey-brown, horizontal pair in type combination I-II, perforated as per issue, with very clear and centrally applied small boxed cancel "BREMEN 24 8" tied to small piece addressed to New York and with red "PAID.10" next to it. The pair is no longer originally attached and in the transparent view the left stamp (postage stamp) appears somewhat light. Despite the imperfections, a scarce and of delightful appearance on piece. 1867, 5 Silbergroschen dark olive green, last printing run of December 1867, fresh colours and typical for the issue partly very irregularly perforated, with clearly and almost completely applied Travelling Post Office L3 "G.M.-H.V.R. 8 / 12IV BREMEN". Tiny light spots and larger tear closed, but very attractive. Probably the only known example of this used extremely scarce stamp (postage stamp) with Travelling Post Office cancellation. Signed Drahn, certificate Neumann BPP (2023) Furthermore Mi.-Nr. 7B used, 9b on piece, 2 unused 15b, each with certificate Neumann BPP

1866, 3 Grote on blue-grey, perforated, type II, fresh colours, with clearly and completely upward and adjacent boxed cancel "BREMEN 24 8" (1866) on cover of a folded letter from the famous Ulrichs correspondence to Bremerhaven with arrival postmark. The envelope with small inconspicuous losses, but the stamp (postage stamp) completely perfect. Surprisingly scarce in this quality. The stamp (postage stamp) with a smoothed corner crease at bottom right, otherwise a very attractive, original and scarce letter. 1866, 3 Grote on blue-grey, perforated, type I with field feature "sheet over the crown" = type IV, fresh colours and well perforated, with clear and exactly centrally applied, small blue boxed cancel "BREMEN Bahnhof." on envelope from the well-known Claussen correspondence to Bremerhaven with reverse arrival datestamp. The stamp (postage stamp) was detached for inspection and is in perfect condition apart from a tiny corner crease. All in all, an attractive letter of this speciality; only one other letter of this stamp (postage stamp) in type IV is known.
