1841 1d. red-brown plate 1b RD with good to large margins, used on 1841 (July 6th) entire letter from Leeds to Birmingham, cancelled by two strikes of the distinctive Maltese Cross of Leeds, with R.P.S. certificate (1992) which does not mention “distinctive”, but with a subsequent letter from the R.P.S.L. expert committee stating “Leeds distinctive cross fair double strike on Penny Red cover to Birmingham - stamp has been lifted and ironed back on but believe it belongs.” S.G.
