1880: 2 d. rose, in combination with 1883 6 d. lilac surcharged with 6 d. carmine, used on cover from Manchester to Montevideo, Uruguay, dated 16 April 1883, tied by a Manchester '498' duplex in black. To the reverse a partial Montevideo arrival (date unclear). A fine and very scarce combination. One of less than ten recorded. From the well known 'Drabble Brothers' correspondence.
