1870: Entire letter from Gaillac-du-Tarn to Cordes, bearing Bordeaux 10 c. bistre report 1 in mixed franking with Napoléon laureated 10 c. bistre type II, two fine and fresh examples, cancelled together centrally by Gros Chiffres '1611' numeral lozenge, despatch cds (Jan 28, 1871) alongside, reverse with arrival cds of the next day. An attractive and rare mixed issue combination of same colour and face value to pay the single letter rate.
