Italienisch-Ostafrika - Britische Besetzung: 1944. Stamp-less envelope written from Asmara endorsed
1944. Stamp-less envelope written from Asmara endorsed 'in the office' dated '10th Aug 44', addressed to 'Mrs. Maxwell Setton, Sarwat Pasha, Ramleh, Alexandria' cancelled by 'Passed by Censor/No 5215' on face in violet. Nice item from the Campaign written by Capt. Maxwell Setton (who after the war produced more than 15 hit films) to his wife in Egypt with very interesting text. Captain Maxwell later became Chief Censor to the Occupied Enemy Territory Administration in Asmara, Eretria and also in Cyrenaica.
