1900, 15 piastres on 3 stamps (postage stamp) and 2 piastres on 40 pfennigs, with cancellation "BEIRUT 14/11 03" on a large linen envelope with sender's imprint "CONSULAR SERVICE, U.S.A." and corresponding red varnish seals on the reverse, addressed to the Trade Office at the State Department in Washington, with front and reverse receipt stamps. The 2 piastre small margin abrasion and the 15 piastre two teeth minimally stained, otherwise in well used condition (envelope slightly trimmed due to opening on the right). An extraordinarily scarce letter.
