(2) cancelled by doubled SG1 “DE 16/11” c.d.s. with additional strike in centre, “DEUTSCHE/SÜDPOLAR EXPEDITION” red vignette cancelled by very pale strike of violet Polarschiff Deutschland handstamp and SG1 registration label (repaired, with “R” now missing at left), London registered oval of Jan. 21 1912 on reverse, soiled and with pressed creasing nevertheless a dramatic and highly desirable item.
