1851: 3d. red, imperforate on laid paper, mostly large margins all around, including bottom sheet margin, tied to cover to New York  by bold black target cancel and faint strike of arc "Canada" in red, postmarked St. Thomas (12 Jun), shortpaid for the cross-border rate, blue "PAID/ 10" handstamp at right, London (12 Jun) and Hamilton (13 Jun) transit backstamps, reverse with two small mount remnants, adhesive quite oxidized, yet a scarce franking.
