The collection starts with the old currency including R5 high values and commemoratives in first and second printings, before covering the key commemorative issues from the late 1950s onward, such as S38 Goldfish, S44 Chrysanthemum, C86M Table Tennis s/s, C88 40th Anniv. of the Communist Party, C94/C94B Stage Art of Mei Lan-fang (both perforated and imperforate), C97 Cuba, S56 Butterflys, S57 Mount Hwangshan, S61 Chinese Peonies, S61M Chinese Peonies s/s, S67 Oil Industry, C106M 15th Anniv. of the People's Republic s/s, etc. It is also strong with the Cultural Revolution issues such as W1 Thoughts of Mao (strips of five not folded), W2 Mao, W3 Mao's "Talks on Literature and Art", W4 46th Anniv. of the Communist Party, W5 Revolutionary Literature and Art, W7 Mao's Poems, and W10 Directives of Mao, etc. For the N, J and T commemoratives, the collection also has all the key issues and s/s, such as N78-81 Industrial Machines, T41M Study of Science from Childhood s/s, and T46 Year of Monkey, etc. The quality of this MNH collection is unusually high, with most of the issues in pristine condition.
