Austrian P.O. 1867: 10 s. blue and 15 s. brown, single examples used on 1873 printed cover "Chemin de Fer de la Turquie D'Europe. Ligne de Sarambey Sofia Uskub" to Venice, Italy tied by fine strikes of "SOFIA" circular datestamp (May 31) in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 864). The Railway Line between Sarambey and the Turkish frontier (122 miles) was built by Baron Hirsch in 1873 and leased to the Turkish Government. Cert. K. Kimmel (1977).
