Mombasa Provisionals 1891 (Feb): Provisional "½ Anna" in manuscript on watermarked 2 a. vermilion, an unused example countersigned "AB" (Archibald Brown, chief cashier of the Imperial British East Africa Co.) in black ink at Mombasa, of fine colour and very fine, brown stains and wrinkles on reverse and not affecting the appearance, unused without gum. An exceptional example of an extremely rare stamp. Cert. BPA (2023) Gi = £ 11'000.
