1878: Morazan ½ r. black, a used horizontal pair on 1887 cover to New York, USA tied by negative circular 'star in circle' obliterators in violet with oval "REPUBLIQUE DE HONDURAS / BUREAU POSTAL D'ÉXCHANGE / AMAPALA" datestamp applied when the letter was received and "ADMINISTRACION DE CORREOS / AMAPALA" despatch (Nov 26) in blue and reverse with "New York / Paid All" duplex of arrival (Dec 13) in black. Slight corner bend but a very rare issue on letter. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
