1850: Double rate envelope from the Sous-Préfet in Redon to Nantes bearing a horizontal pair of Cérès 25 c. dark-blue, a fresh and fine multiple with good to large margins incl. parts of two neighbouring stamps and part sheet margin at base, tied by two clear strikes of grille obliterator, REDON despatch cds (Aug 23, 51) alongside. Reverse with arrival cds of the next day. An appealing cover in the rate of July 1850.
