China, 1943 (Feb 7), express letter from Chungking to Shanghai, franked with 50¢ overprint on SYS 16¢ x4 (Scott 529, Chan 642), tied with Chungking c.d.s. on back with part express strip still attached. Shanghai c.d.s. (Mar 8) on front. This express letter took a month from Chungking to Shanghai showing how difficult wartime mail was delivered from free China to Japanese Occupied Shanghai, Fine to Very Fine.
