1855: (16. Mar.): 15c. vermillion, horizontal gutter pair with very good margins, cancelled three line PARMA/16/MARZO on letter from PARMA to GENUA. A black PD is set beside the franking. An arrival GENOVA single circle cachet (18. Mar) is on the reverse. The right hand stamp shows some minor brown stains, otherwise is the letter fresh and very fine. According to Sassone only two letters are recorded. It is signed A. Diena with certificate (1975) Sassone = €100'000.

1856 (22.Oct.): 5c. black on yellow paper, left marginal example, in mixed franking with 25c. reddish brown, two very fine used stamps of great freshness on small letter from "BORGOS DONNINO" to "GENUA". A transit "PIACENZA" (25. Oct.) is on the reverse, together with an arrival cachet "GENOVA". A beautiful letter to cherish.

1852 (12.Oct.): 40c black on light blue (azzuro chiaro) paper, upper marginal example with full to ample margins all round, tied to letter from "PARMA" to "ANNONAY" by "PARMA 12 OTTOBRE" three line cachet. The letter bears two unclear French transit marks, a RAYON mark "T.S.1." and an arrival ANNONAY (16. Oct.) on the reverse. There is some acid ink damage and filing folds well clear of the franking, nonetheless a fine and very rare letter. Signed Bolaffi. Sassone = € 7'250+.

The aesthetically pleasing arrangement of the fine stamps, together with the clean cancellations "PARMA" make for a highly desirable piece to grace any collection. Certificates Oliva (1964) and E. Diena (1978).
