1871: 100 mon deep blue, Plate I, imperforate on laid paper, a single example with large even margins all round, used on cover from Osaka to Fushimi, Yamashio prefecture, tied by fine large rectangular 'kensazumi' framed chop in black. Slight surface fault to the thin paper envelope but a remarkably attractive and scarce cover.
