lot # 8 - bavaria stamps
1 Kreuzer deep-black, plate 1, vertical strip of 6, the lower stamp at bottom with magnifying glass to full margins, otherwise all values with large margins and almost complete interlines, with single closed Mühlrad-cancel "272" and adjacent semicircle "POERNBACH 14 5" as well as oblong stamp "Chargé" on envelope addressed to the district court in Aichach. Tiny paper damage on the 3rd stamp under E of BAYERN as well as a small cleaned browning spot on the right margin, otherwise perfect (slightly pre-folded trace between the 3rd and 4th stamp (postage stamp) should be mentioned for the sake of order). One of Bavaria's most spectacular covers, largest known multiple franking of No. 1 (there are only 2 other strips of six of No. 1 registered on letter, both in the a colour, one of which has not appeared for 90 years) and largest known used unit of the b colour.
