1856-1955: Cover accumulation comprising 64 examples of which a third are from the Victoria era, the others a selection from Edward VII to George VI and a few Elizabeth II. There are a number of better frankings, such as a 1870 four-colour combination cover from London to USA franked with line engraved 1 d. red and 2 d. blue with surface printed, 3 d. rose and 6 d. lilac, also two transatlantic covers franked with 1856 1 s. green plate 1 to New York one which is sent from Manchester tied by the Spoon duplex cancel the other sent from Sheffield, a selection of registered stationery envelopes uprated with Victoria adhesives, a range of postcards from Edward VII period some with machine cancels. Also noted, three stampless covers from 1853/57 with double circle 'B Crown P' handstamp. Condition is mixed in places but a valuable group with scope to develop.
