1881: Two covers 'Second Quetzal' issue: 2 c. brown & green, a horizontal strip of five folded around edge of 1885 'Hill' cover addressed to Nova Scotia, cancelled by segmented cork handstamps in black with 'Correos / Guatemala' cds (Jan 15) in violet at left. The other cover Quetzal 5 c. red & green, a used example, marginal from left of sheet, used on 1886 as internal mail to Jalapa tied by bold "Correos / Guatemala" cds (Feb). Tiny closed opening tear at top, but a most attractive and rare usage Scott = $ 1400+. Ex the Brian Moorhouse Estate.
