Stamps of German New Guinea surcharged 1914 (17 Oct): GRI and Value 4 mm. apart, 3 s. on 3 m. violet-black, Setting 4, position type 1, a used example of good colour with complete full-stop after 'G' of GRI, tied by oval "RABAUL JUN 18 1915 NEW BRITAIN" datestamp (Gibbs type 8) in violet to envelope directed to Sydney.
