1861-1864 Correspondence of 29 covers from India to Reverend resp. Mrs Mulligan in Moira, Country Down, Ireland, sent from the North Western Provinces post offices Ghazeepore (numeral h/s "104"), Shahjehanpore (duplex "173") and Hameerpore (duplex "106") resp. from Calcutta, with various frankings including one cover with 4a. black only (March 1861 via Southampton), another one franked 6a.8p. (May 1864 via Marseilles) and all other for 6a. rate including many good stamps like 2a. pink, yellow or yellow-buff in combination with 4a. grey-black or black, with all respective despatch, transit and arrival datestamps. The covers are in slightly mixed condition (few of them opened roughly, others with traces of ageing), but they are still attractive. An unusual correspondence.
