1915: Yacht 10 pf. carmine, overprinted "C.E.F." and surcharged "1d" in black, used on a picture postcard from Duala to Lome, Togoland, dated 7 January 1916, with rare three line censor mark "Passed by Censor / at / Lome (Togo)" in violet. To the reverse an arrival circular "LOME / TOGO" dated 22 January 1916 in black. Soiling, otherwise fine. A rare mark and usage. Cert. Holcombe (1995). Comes with a group of four similar cards each with the same censor mark, three with 5 pf. green frankings the other a 10 pf. carmine. Mixed in places, although one of the strikes is very fine.
