1866: Entire 'Circular' sent from New York to Cartagena, Colombia, dated 21 December 1866, with very fine strike of the 'COLON' double-lined oval handstamp in red, carried privately to Colón and put in the mail for the onward journey; the Circular refers to severe business problems due to economic crisis in New York; fine and rare; one of three reported covers with this postmark.
